GRAPHIC DESIGN PROJECT
2025
Client: A Whitespace Creative Agency
Services: Graphic Design

[Project Overview]

Moe Arts and Architecture is a Nigerian-based creative design practice that operates at the intersection of art and architecture. Their work ranges from traditional architectural projects to exhibition design and a range of creative spatial and visual experiences.

For this project, I designed promotional materials for a private exhibition by artist Yusuf Aina. The goal was to curate a visual identity that utilised a mixed-media collage aesthetic inspired by DIY zine culture, to produce graphics that felt tactile, expressive, and rooted in community.

[My role]

On this project, I was responsible for designing graphics and communication materials for the exhibition that fit the intended aesthetic and worked well alongside the artist's original work. Beyond design, I also assisted with exhibition set-up and videography on the day of the event.

[The Challenge]

The project required adherence to a highly specific creative vision, but I had no direct contact with the client during the design phase. This meant I had to accurately interpret the brief while ensuring the work aligned with the client's expectations.

[The Approach]

To bridge this gap, I worked closely with the MOE team, relying on detailed feedback from colleagues who had communicated directly with the client. Through an iterative design process and continuous collaboration, I refined the visuals until they reflected the intended artistic direction.

[The Outcome]

The final designs were well received by the client and became a key part of the exhibition's visual identity. The posters were prominently featured across social media coverage of the event, helping to extend the exhibition's reach while reinforcing its distinctive creative aesthetic.
